Process Engineering Manager

About the role

The Process Engineering Manager leads the development, optimisation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to boost productivity, quality, safety and cost efficiency. This senior position works across production, quality, maintenance and supply‑chain teams to ensure reliable, consistent and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise production processes, ensuring efficient workflow and equipment utilisation.
• Identify improvement opportunities through data analysis, root‑cause investigations and performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support new product introductions, technology upgrades and capacity expansions.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, engineering standards and SOPs to meet regulatory and best‑practice requirements.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and other methodologies.
• Monitor key process performance indicators, manage engineering projects and support capital‑investment programmes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Mentor and develop the process engineering team, fostering innovation and technical excellence.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in Process, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Solid understanding of process engineering principles, manufacturing operations and production optimisation.
• Proven experience in process analysis, root‑cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen or similar operational‑excellence methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and project‑management skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality management requirements in a manufacturing setting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
