Procurement Engineer (Civil) – EPC Projects

About the role

Archirodon is seeking a resourceful Procurement Engineer (Civil) to support marine and topside EPC packages on an oil & gas project in Kuwait. The role focuses on sourcing, evaluating and managing suppliers for marine works and offshore equipment while ensuring compliance with client specifications and project procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Source, pre‑qualify and propose bidders from the approved vendor list, emphasizing marine contractors and offshore fabrication yards.
• Prepare, issue and manage RFQs for marine works (piling, dredging, jetty/pier structures, offshore installation) and topside materials.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Marine and Project Controls to ensure complete technical, commercial and contractual requirements in RFQ packages.
• Conduct commercial, contractual and schedule evaluations of bids, preparing comparison statements and recommendations.
• Identify procurement‑related risks (logistics, marine operations, supplier capability) and propose mitigation measures.
• Review and obtain approval for Purchase Orders and Subcontracts, managing all commercial correspondence and audit documentation.
• Work with Expediting, Inspection and Logistics teams to ensure timely delivery, especially for offshore transportation and heavy‑lift activities.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement for marine and offshore EPC projects within the oil & gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of supplier pre‑qualification, technical evaluation and commercial bid analysis.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage complex documentation.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify and mitigate procurement risks.
