About the role
The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing all purchasing activities to ensure the company obtains the right goods and services at the best possible price, while maintaining strong supplier relationships and compliance with internal policies.
Key responsibilities
- Execute purchasing operations for all company requirements in line with approved policies and procedures.
- Source, evaluate and negotiate with new suppliers to secure optimal prices and terms.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with existing suppliers to guarantee continuity of supply.
- Monitor purchase orders, track deliveries and ensure goods meet required specifications.
- Review price quotations, prepare comparative analyses and support informed purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to identify needs and avoid stock shortages.
- Oversee supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms.
- Prepare periodic procurement and expenditure reports for management.
- Contribute to cost‑reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement.
- Strong negotiation abilities and experience managing supplier relationships.
- High attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and a structured, methodical work approach.
