Production Controller – Oil & Gas Plant

About the role

The Production Controller will lead shift teams at an oil and gas processing plant in Kuwait, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations while meeting production targets and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise shift teams to operate the plant safely, efficiently, and reliably.
• Achieve production targets while maintaining required quality and HSE standards.
• Monitor and control plant operations, including crude oil, sour gas, produced water, effluent water, and utility systems.
• Operate and monitor process units such as Sulphur Recovery, Tail Gas, power generation, steam generation, and plant utilities.
• Monitor operating parameters, identify abnormalities, and coordinate corrective actions to maintain stable operations.
• Coordinate with maintenance and other functions to support reliable plant operation.
• Maintain accurate operational records and prepare shift reports.
• Use computerized operating and maintenance systems to monitor plant performance and support operational activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• For Bachelor’s degree holders: minimum 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas or process plant operations.
• For Diploma holders: minimum 12 years of experience in Oil & Gas or process plant operations.
• Strong experience in plant operations, shift supervision, and process optimization.
• Experience with crude oil, gas processing, utilities, power and steam generation, or sulphur recovery operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance and plant management systems is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
