Professor or Associate Professor – Accounting

About the role

The Kuwait Technical College is seeking qualified candidates for a full‑time Professor or Associate Professor position in Accounting. The successful academic will join the School of Business Management, delivering undergraduate (and where applicable graduate) instruction, supervising research, and contributing to the college’s scholarly mission.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Accounting.
• Supervise student research projects and academic activities.
• Provide academic advising and professional mentorship to students.
• Maintain an active research agenda with measurable scholarly output.
• Publish in internationally recognized, peer‑reviewed journals.
• Participate in academic committees and institutional governance.
• Contribute to curriculum development, program review, and continuous quality improvement.
• Support accreditation, quality assurance, and institutional effectiveness initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD in Accounting.
• Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business, Finance or a closely related discipline from accredited universities.
• For Professor: minimum 8 years of academic experience, at least 4 years as Assistant Professor and 4 years as Associate Professor, 13 high‑quality journal publications (at least 3 in the last 5 years), first‑author on at least 7 publications, Scopus h‑index ≥20 preferred.
• For Associate Professor: minimum 4 years as Assistant Professor, 8 high‑quality journal publications (at least 3 in the last 5 years), first‑author on at least 4 publications.
