Project Management Engineering Professional (Project Lead Engineer)

About the role

The Project Management Engineering Professional will lead the engineering delivery of high‑voltage GIS and AIS substation projects across the region. This senior position requires deep domain expertise and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project engineering activities, prepare and review deliverables, and monitor contractual scope, variations and change orders.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, consultants, suppliers and site teams, to drive progress and resolve technical issues.
• Review equipment specifications, BOQs and supplier offers, manage FAT processes, and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Oversee risk, change and opportunity management throughout project execution and tendering phases.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning and punch‑point closure activities on site.

Required profile

• Minimum 14 years of engineering experience, with 6‑8 years in a lead role on utility substation projects.
• Proven expertise in design and engineering of 11kV/33kV/132kV/220kV/400kV GIS and AIS substations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience coordinating civil and MEP disciplines and preparing BOQs, deviation lists and technical proposals.

Required skills

• GIS and AIS substation design, layout, earthing, cabling, lightning protection, and MV system sizing.
• BOQ estimation, RFQ preparation, supplier offer verification, and FAT coordination.
• Protection relays, relay panels, LCCs, SCADA/RTU/SCMS, FMS/DFR, telecom and control cabling.
• CT/VT sizing, LV AC boards, service/auxiliary transformers, UPS, inverter, battery systems.
• CCTV, access control, EPABX, and related security system integration.
