Project Manager - Construction (Remediation Projects)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead large‑scale environmental remediation projects for the Kuwait Environmental Remediation Program (KERP) in Ahmadi, Kuwait. The role involves overseeing the transformation of contaminated land into safe, productive ecosystems while managing complex engineering and construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall management, coordination and supervision of assigned remediation projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Develop and control project budgets, cost forecasts and implement value‑improving practices.
• Manage engineering, procurement and construction contractors on behalf of the client.
• Act as the primary technical interface with the client, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and resolving scope, schedule and performance issues.
• Champion health, safety and environment (HSE) culture, embedding OHSE requirements throughout design, procurement and execution.
• Ensure compliance with the Worley Project Management Plan and contract terms, applying robust change‑control and claims‑mitigation processes.
• Oversee quality assurance, maintaining engineering deliverables and standards.
• Lead and motivate multidisciplinary, global teams to achieve project milestones.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years total experience, including at least 5 years in oil & gas, refinery or petrochemical industries.
• At least 5 years in a project engineering or construction management role on multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale construction projects and acting as deputy to a project manager.
