Project Manager – Wastewater Treatment Plant (Kuwait)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large‑scale wastewater treatment plant in Kuwait. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from planning and permitting to construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring compliance with budget, schedule, safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the wastewater treatment plant construction project.
• Develop execution plans, work schedules and resource allocations.
• Coordinate between EPC contractors, engineering teams and client representatives.
• Ensure compliance with Kuwaiti environmental, safety and authority regulations (MEW, KEPA, MPW).
• Manage subcontractors, site supervision and construction progress.
• Monitor KPIs, produce regular cost, schedule and risk reports.
• Review and approve design drawings, specifications and change orders.
• Oversee permitting, inspections and government interfaces.
• Drive quality assurance during civil, mechanical and electrical works.
• Lead testing, commissioning and handover in collaboration with O&M teams.
• Enforce HSE standards and site safety protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in water or wastewater plant construction.
• Proven track record on large EPC infrastructure projects in the Gulf, preferably Kuwait.
• Strong knowledge of treatment technologies, process equipment and utility systems.
• Familiarity with international standards (FIDIC, ISO, ASTM) and local Kuwaiti codes.
• Leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
