Purchase Assistant

About the role

The Purchase Assistant will support high customer satisfaction by managing procurement, inventory control, and supply‑chain coordination for our Kuwait plant. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end procurement and import logistics for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
• Coordinate with the Regional Procurement team to execute local purchasing agreements and sourcing activities.
• Process purchase orders, communicate with suppliers, and follow up on deliveries and documentation.
• Monitor inbound shipments, work with clearing agents, logistics providers, and customs to ensure timely receipt of imports.
• Analyze demand forecasts and inventory levels, collaborating with Demand Planning, Sales, and Production to maintain optimal stock.
• Develop and maintain replenishment plans, balancing inventory availability with working‑capital efficiency.
• Prepare procurement, inventory, and stock performance reports for decision‑making.
• Ensure accurate inventory control across all warehouse locations and address discrepancies promptly.
• Identify and escalate supply‑chain risks, recommending corrective actions.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on logistics efficiency and cost reduction.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement, inventory management, and import logistics.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities with suppliers and internal teams.
• Ability to analyze data, forecast demand, and develop replenishment plans.
• Attention to detail and compliance with regulatory and internal procedures.
