QA/QC Inspector – Steel Structure (Mid-Level)

About the role

We are looking for a QA/QC Inspector specialized in steel structure fabrication to ensure that all components and materials meet the required quality and compliance standards. The role involves conducting inspections, performing tests, and maintaining accurate quality records within our workshop.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑process and final inspections of fabricated steel components, raw materials, and consumables.
• Oversee inspection, testing, and approval of received materials and fabricated components to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Implement inspection hold points at all production stages.
• Perform non‑destructive and destructive testing to verify structural integrity.
• Document and report non‑conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality records and inspection reports.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to improve fabrication processes.
• Assist the Senior QA/QC Engineer in enhancing the company’s quality management system.
• Participate in training and development activities to enhance technical and inspection skills.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, quality management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in QA/QC within steel fabrication or manufacturing.
• Preferred certifications: CSWIP 3.1, AWS‑CWI (Certified Welding Inspector), ASNT Level II (UT, RT, MT, PT).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, and quality standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with non‑destructive testing (NDT) methods.
• Excellent documentation and reporting abilities.
• Attention to detail and problem‑solving capabilities.
