QHSE Superintendent

About the role

The QHSE Superintendent will lead safety and quality initiatives across up to four on‑shore drilling rigs in Kuwait. This role ensures the effective implementation of the company’s QHSE Management System, supports incident management, and fosters a strong safety culture through coaching and communication.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular leadership visits to assigned rigs to assess QHSE compliance and perform internal audits.
• Coach, mentor, and support Rig‑Site QHSE Officers to achieve high safety standards.
• Track, coordinate, and close client inspections and corrective actions.
• Liaise with subcontractors, regulatory authorities, and client representatives on HSE matters.
• Participate in client and industry safety campaigns, workshops, and meetings.
• Lead emergency response and incident management, reporting accurate incident information to QHSE and Operations Management.
• Provide medical support for injured workers, ensure timely collection of police and medical reports, and manage work‑related compensation documentation.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience conducting QHSE audits and inspections on drilling rigs.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop QHSE officers and operational teams.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with internal management, clients, and regulatory bodies.
• Capability to manage incident reporting, medical follow‑up, and compensation processes.
