Quality Control & CNC Operator

About the role

SmartWood is looking for a detail‑oriented professional to operate CNC woodworking machinery while ensuring every component meets the company’s high quality standards. The role combines hands‑on machine operation with rigorous quality inspection in a modern manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC woodworking machines safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and production specifications.
• Set up, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment.
• Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
• Identify defects, record findings, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain quality control records and production reports.
• Collaborate with designers and production teams to ensure manufacturing accuracy.
• Follow safety procedures and production standards.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or vocational certification in CNC machining, woodworking, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Experience operating CNC woodworking machinery.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and production plans.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Familiarity with woodworking materials, hardware, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of quality inspection tools and measurement equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
