Room Service Manager

About the role

This entry‑level management position oversees the daily operations of the Room Service department in a hotel environment. The role involves directing, training, and supporting staff to ensure food and beverage are delivered to guest rooms and hospitality suites according to established standards, while maintaining guest and employee satisfaction and adhering to the operating budget.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all day‑to‑day Room Service activities, including staffing, scheduling, and compliance with policies.
• Communicate operational needs and follow up on corrective actions to maintain service quality.
• Ensure staffing levels meet guest service expectations, operational requirements, and financial targets.
• Lead the Room Service team by setting performance standards, providing feedback, and recognizing achievements.
• Assist other food‑and‑beverage outlets when needed to support overall department performance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in food & beverage, culinary, or a related field, or a 2‑year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
