Roustabout

About the role

The roustabout supports rig operations by handling lifting, rigging, slinging and general housekeeping tasks. Working on an offshore/onshore drilling rig in Kuwait, you will assist the drilling crew, maintenance team and material handlers to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Hook and release loads for crane and forklift operators, acting as banksman when required.
• Assist with rig moves, drilling mud preparation, cleaning mud pits and handling tubulars and drilling tools.
• Maintain lifting equipment, inspect rigging gear, install thread protectors and ensure proper storage.
• Perform housekeeping, paint preparation, surface cleaning and waste disposal according to company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or technical degree with at least 1 year of relevant oil‑and‑gas experience.
• Age between 20 and 27 years, able to work day/night shifts in extreme weather conditions.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, lift, pull and push loads frequently.
• Elementary English and basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
