Safety Supervisor (HSE Specialist I)

About the role

Worley is seeking a Safety Supervisor (HSE Specialist I) to implement KOC PMC safety policies, the HSE Management System and project‑specific HSE plans. The role ensures site compliance with KOC HSE requirements, maintains statistical safety data and prepares required reports for the KOC PMC HSEQ Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice and assistance to EPC HSE managers to ensure consistent compliance and risk reduction.
• Interpret KOC policies and statutory requirements for EPC contractor management teams.
• Ensure EPC contractors collect and maintain statistical health‑ and‑safety data and training records.
• Review and recommend changes to EPC contractor Safety Management Systems.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with KOC, regulatory bodies and EPC contractors.
• Conduct regular site visits, safety talks and training sessions.
• Implement and monitor safety observation programs and follow‑up on findings.
• Assist contractors in hazard identification, work planning and safe‑working environment maintenance.
• Maintain an HS&E audit and assessment program and carry out inspections.
• Disseminate safety information via bulletins, posters and newsletters.
• Support accident investigation processes and report outcomes.
• Develop and implement safety initiatives to continuously improve performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSE management within EPC or oil‑and‑gas projects.
• Familiarity with KOC HSE policies, statutory requirements and industry best practices.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to conduct safety audits, inspections and investigations.
