Sales Associate

About the role

The Sales Associate will represent the Apparel Group brand by delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales within the store. You will work closely with the store manager and assistant manager to ensure a welcoming environment and maintain visual standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist them in product selection and convert window shoppers into buyers.
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to encourage repeat purchases.
• Follow the GUEST selling methodology: Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank.
• Maintain a well‑groomed appearance and stay updated on all group brands for suggestive selling.
• Arrange stock according to visual merchandising guidelines and ensure proper inventory records.
• Handle POS transactions, manage cash tills, issue receipts, refunds and process payments (cash, card, vouchers).
• Adhere to security, loss‑prevention policies and maintain confidentiality of sales figures.
• Work flexible hours, including extended shifts during sales periods and overtime as required.

Required profile

• Presentable and well‑groomed at all times.
• Flexible to work extended hours and varied shifts.
• Up‑to‑date product knowledge with minimal stock loss.
• Accurate handling of cash and POS operations.
• Awareness of store security and loss‑prevention procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sales data.
