Senior Accountant – Finance & Treasury (Kuwait)

About the role

Smart Health Co. is seeking a hands‑on Senior Accountant to manage its finance and treasury functions in Salmiya, Kuwait. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior management, oversee daily accounting operations, and influence strategic financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and lead year‑end closing activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with local accounting standards.
• Monitor daily cash flow, produce forecasts, and maintain strong banking relationships.
• Handle financing facilities, letters of guarantee and other treasury requirements.
• Develop budgets, financial forecasts and perform variance analysis.
• Supervise one junior accountant and support continuous improvement of accounting processes.
• Produce management reports, dashboards and provide financial analysis for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in trading, healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals or distribution.
• Proven experience preparing financial statements and coordinating audits.
• Hands‑on experience with banks, financing facilities and treasury activities.
• High level of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as Zoho, SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
