Senior AI Engineer – Python (Doha, Qatar)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer with strong Python expertise to join our Doha office. You will work at the cutting edge of AI‑driven software engineering, building scalable, production‑ready solutions and shaping an AI‑spec‑driven development model.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy token‑efficient AI search and retrieval architectures optimized for relevance and latency.
• Define, evolve and operationalize AI specifications and templates for feature, architecture, code, test and deployment automation.
• Develop metrics and tools to measure AI‑driven development efficiency, quality and accuracy.
• Build end‑to‑end pipelines including embeddings, vector stores, retrieval frameworks, prompt engineering and LLM integrations.
• Create and strengthen agentic systems to orchestrate multi‑step workflows for engineering teams.
• Implement reliability and observability frameworks, including monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, version management and reproducible deployments.
• Coach and mentor engineering and product teams, review designs and elevate AI engineering practices.
• Establish security guardrails, input/output validation and safety mechanisms for robust AI solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience building production‑grade AI systems (or 2+ years focused on LLM/RAG solutions).
• Proven experience with Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns, embeddings and vector databases.
• Hands‑on experience integrating commercial and self‑hosted LLM models and using AI agent frameworks such as LangChain.

Required skills

• Python (primary language) and intermediate Java.
• REST and gRPC APIs.
• Containerized deployments and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Cloud services and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible).
• CI/CD processes for models, prompts and testing.
• Embeddings, semantic search and large‑scale vector indexing.
• Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns.
• LLM integration and prompt engineering.
• AI agent frameworks such as LangChain.
• Monitoring and observability frameworks.
• AI productivity tools (GitHub Copilot, GitLab Duo).
