Senior Pipeline Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Pipeline Infrastructure Engineer to lead the technical delivery of major water, utility and infrastructure projects for Surbana Jurong in Kuwait. The role involves overseeing pipeline construction, testing and commissioning to ensure safety, quality and compliance with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision of pipeline installation, including transmission pipelines, valves, chambers and related works.
• Review engineering drawings, alignment plans, welding and jointing procedures, and contractor submissions.
• Monitor installation, inspection, testing, commissioning and performance verification activities.
• Support hydrostatic and pressure testing, pipeline integrity assessments and acceptance testing.
• Oversee trenching, bedding, backfilling, reinstatement and associated civil works.
• Coordinate with contractors, utility stakeholders and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, standards, quality assurance and safety procedures.
• Maintain inspection records, defect registers and project reporting.
• Review as‑built documentation and handover deliverables.
• Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting, risk mitigation and construction planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a consultancy environment delivering pipeline and utility projects.
• Strong track record of technical oversight and stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to work independently and drive project performance improvements.
