Service Technician – Elevator & Escalator Maintenance

About the role

Otis is seeking an experienced Service Technician to perform planned and unplanned maintenance, adjustments, and repairs on elevator and escalator systems in Kuwait. The role involves independent troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and operational faults to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute corrective maintenance, fault finding, root‑cause analysis and repairs to reduce repeat call‑backs.
• Monitor units with high call‑back rates, identify underlying issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Document abnormalities, worn components, safety concerns and other deficiencies during PPM, call‑backs or inspections.
• Identify and report T‑Lead opportunities for upgrades, replacements or modernization.
• Coordinate with line operators and support teams to meet service‑level requirements.
• Maintain accurate service records, timesheets, log cards and safety documentation.
• Support junior mechanics and ensure compliance with Otis safety procedures and client site regulations.

Required profile

• ITI/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or B.Tech.
• 5‑8 years of experience in the elevator and escalator industry.
• Strong knowledge of elevator and escalator systems and components.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
