Structural Inspector – Port and Infrastructure

About the role

Egis Group is seeking a detail‑oriented Structural Inspector to join its Kuwait City team. You will conduct comprehensive inspections of port, terminal and related infrastructure, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thorough structural inspections of steel, concrete and foundation elements at ports and terminals.
• Identify, document and analyse defects, deterioration and safety hazards.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with recommendations and corrective action plans.
• Conduct non‑destructive testing (NDT) and other specialised inspection techniques as required.
• Maintain organized records of inspections, test results and maintenance history.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance and contractor teams to address identified issues and verify corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in structural inspection or structural engineering.
• Proven experience inspecting port, terminal or maritime infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of structural materials such as steel and concrete.
• Excellent documentation and technical report writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Non‑destructive testing (NDT) techniques and equipment.
• CAD software or specialised inspection management tools.
• Inspection equipment and measurement tools.
• Familiarity with international inspection standards (ISO, API, ASTM).
