Tax GCR Assistant Manager

About the role

EY is seeking an Assistant Manager for its Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) tax service line in Kuwait. You will lead a team delivering tax compliance, reporting and advisory services to a diverse client base across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day client engagements, monitor progress and deliverables, and ensure standardized processes are applied.
• Lead a high‑performing team, coach junior members, and maintain a positive learning culture.
• Coordinate delivery of tax services across EY teams in the region, handling issue resolution and contract management for large‑scale projects.
• Ensure adherence to EY Tax Quality guidelines and proactively identify and mitigate risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation or a related field with strong academic credentials.
• Kuwaiti CPA qualification (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 + years of experience in domestic and international tax rules, tax accounting and tax auditing, preferably within a large professional services firm.
• Excellent communication, detail‑orientation and ability to work across borders with large data sets.
