Trade Marketing Officer – Retail Execution & Merchandising

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Trade Marketing Officer to drive retail execution, merchandising standards and promotional activities across modern and traditional trade channels. The role ensures in‑store visibility, monitors market performance and supports business growth through effective field execution.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular market visits to verify compliance with merchandising and display standards, including planograms, product positioning and shelf availability.
• Ensure proper execution of promotional campaigns, pricing, and in‑store communication materials.
• Inspect and maintain Point of Sale Materials (POSM), display stands and merchandising equipment, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions.
• Monitor outlet and category‑level sales performance, analyse trends and recommend display optimisations.
• Gather competitive intelligence on pricing, promotions, product launches and merchandising activities.
• Prepare detailed field visit reports with findings, photographs and recommendations, and track corrective actions to full compliance.
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Warehouse and Merchandising teams to ensure successful execution of initiatives and new product launches.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of merchandising standards, planograms and POSM management.
• Experience analysing sales performance and market trends.
• Excellent reporting, documentation and follow‑up abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a field‑based role.
