Transient Aircraft Services Technician – Secret Clearance

About the role

The Transient Aircraft Services (TAS) Technician supports United States and Coalition Forces by providing safe, efficient ground handling and servicing for aircraft arriving and departing from a Qatar installation. Working 24/7 in a high‑tempo, austere environment, the technician ensures all flight‑line activities comply with technical orders, safety standards, and U.S. Air Force directives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a ZERO‑harm workplace by following all flight‑line safety requirements, including FOD prevention, tool control, and proper PPE usage.
• Perform aircraft marshaling, parking, positioning, chocking, grounding, and other arrival/departure services.
• Execute aircraft servicing tasks to support turn‑around and mission readiness.
• Assist with aircraft launch and recovery operations in coordination with supervisors.
• Conduct operator‑level inspections of vehicles and support equipment used in TAS operations.
• Ensure strict accountability of tools and equipment, adhering to tool‑control programs.
• Participate in routine flight‑line inspections and immediate removal of foreign objects.
• Document aircraft servicing records, shift logs, and inspection checklists.

Required profile

• Ability to work in a 24/7/365 flight‑line environment.
• Commitment to strict safety protocols and zero‑harm objectives.
• Clearance to hold a Secret security clearance.
• Strong communication skills for reporting hazards and coordinating with team members.

Required skills

• Aircraft marshaling and ground handling.
