Transient Aircraft Services Technician (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The Transient Aircraft Services (TAS) Technician supports Southwest Asia Transient Aircraft Services for the U.S. Air Force and coalition forces in Qatar. Working on a 24/7/365 flight line, the technician ensures safe, efficient aircraft arrival, turn‑around, and departure in a high‑tempo, austere environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a ZERO‑Harm workplace by following all flight‑line safety requirements, FOD prevention, tool control, and PPE usage.
• Perform aircraft marshaling, parking, positioning, chocking, grounding, and other arrival/departure services according to Technical Orders and airfield procedures.
• Execute ground‑handling tasks that support aircraft turn‑around and mission readiness.
• Assist with aircraft launch and recovery operations in coordination with supervisors and airfield management.
• Conduct operator‑level inspections and servicing of vehicles and support equipment used in TAS operations.
• Ensure strict accountability of tools and equipment, complying with tool‑control programs.
• Participate in routine flight‑line inspections and immediate removal of foreign objects.
• Document aircraft servicing records, shift logs, and inspection checklists.
• Report safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, and operational issues to leadership promptly.

Required profile

• Valid U.S. Secret Clearance.
• Ability to work continuously in a 24/7/365 flight‑line environment.
• Commitment to strict safety protocols and zero‑harm objectives.
• Willingness to operate in a high‑tempo, austere setting.
