Transient Aircraft Services Technician (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The Transient Aircraft Services (TAS) Technician provides essential ground handling and servicing for aircraft arriving and departing from a Southwest Asia installation. Working under the AFCAP V program, the role supports United States and Coalition forces in a high‑tempo, austere environment, ensuring safe and efficient flight‑line operations 24/7/365.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a ZERO‑harm workplace by following all flight‑line safety requirements, including FOD prevention, tool control, and proper PPE usage.
• Perform aircraft marshaling, parking, and positioning in accordance with Technical Orders and airfield procedures.
• Execute arrival and departure services such as chocking, grounding, and safe aircraft positioning.
• Conduct ground handling tasks to support aircraft turn‑around and mission readiness.
• Assist with aircraft launch and recovery operations in coordination with supervisors and airfield management.
• Inspect and service vehicles and support equipment used in TAS operations.
• Maintain strict accountability of tools and equipment, adhering to tool‑control programs.
• Participate in routine flight‑line inspections and immediate removal of foreign objects.
• Document aircraft servicing records, shift logs, and inspection checklists.

Required profile

• Active U.S. Secret Clearance.
• Ability to work in a high‑tempo, austere environment with 24/7/365 shift schedules.
