Tube Mill Operator

About the role

The Tube Mill Operator is responsible for ensuring the tube mill runs at optimal performance, producing high‑quality steel tubes for various applications. Working on a continuous production line, you will manage equipment setup, monitor operations, and lead a small team to meet output targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Configure rollers and set up the production line for round, square and rectangular pipes.
• Feed raw materials, monitor machine operation, and adjust parameters to maintain consistent product quality.
• Supervise assistants, guide workflow, and ensure clear communication on the shop floor.
• Conduct quality inspections, isolate defects, and troubleshoot root‑cause issues.
• Perform basic maintenance to prevent unplanned downtime.
• Achieve production plan output while keeping scrap rate below 1% and minimizing machine downtime.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience operating tube mill equipment.
• Technical Diploma preferred; welding, safety or maintenance certifications are a plus.
• English proficiency an asset.
• Strong teamwork, problem‑solving mindset, clear communication and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive in reporting issues and driving continuous improvement.
