About the role
Sinohydro (PowerChina) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead MEP design and obtain approvals for major infrastructure projects in Kuwait. The role requires immediate availability and focuses on delivering high‑quality engineering solutions in line with local standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design for large‑scale infrastructure works.
- Obtain and coordinate MEP approvals from the Ministry of Housing and relevant Kuwaiti regional authorities.
- Prepare and review design documentation, calculations, and specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integration and compliance.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering.
- Proven experience obtaining MEP approvals from Kuwaiti ministries or similar regulatory bodies.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
Required skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Knowledge of BIM/Revit (preferred).
- Familiarity with MEW and TSE pipelines, TSE tanks, and associated pump rooms.
