Watch Officer (NOC) - Secret Clearance

About the role

V2X, a global mission-support company, is hiring a Watch Officer (WO) for its OMDAC-SWACA program. The WO acts as shift supervisor and is the senior NOC person in the absence of the Chief Watch Officer, supervising the automation systems of the NOC and overseeing high-level network performance and fault management under the guidance of the RCC-SWA. The role works 90% indoors and 10% outdoors, with rotating shifts covering 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, monitor and maintain situational awareness of all networks and systems under NOC responsibility, and resolve issues, track progress and report results.
• Analyze and troubleshoot networks, including security policies, performance tuning and trending analysis, and open trouble tickets.
• Generate reports and update trouble tickets; act as focal point for incident reporting and user service requests.
• Provide technical and operational support to users, give initial response to outages and assign tickets to the right section.
• Own Incident (Remedy) tickets from start to resolution and close them after escalation to the TNOSC, keeping customers informed.
• Assist in outage reports, outage trend analysis and operational status reporting to the RCC-SWA.
• Enforce IA per AR 25-2, triage suspicious activity and process authorized service interruptions.
• Audit site data such as database backups, network diagrams and end-of-life data.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; one year of related study may substitute one year of education.
• Active Secret clearance; candidates must meet host-country requirements, including a host nation visa and driver's license.
• At least two years of supervisory or lead experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and experience with a customer-service-oriented company.
• Adherence to DoD 8570.01M.

Required skills

• One baseline certification and one computing environment certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Security+, CASP+, GCED, CISSP).
• CompTIA, GIAC, ISACA, ISC2 and Microsoft certifications are listed as acceptable.
