Welder

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our multicultural team in Kuwait. The successful candidate will perform day‑to‑day welding and gas‑cutting activities, support repairs, and take part in both planned and unplanned shutdowns across our facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate ARC, MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding equipment for maintenance and fabrication tasks.
• Fabricate brackets, guards, supports and other components according to approved drawings.
• Perform build‑up of cracked or worn components under supervision.
• Support welding activities in multiple plants, contributing to standardised mechanical equipment initiatives.
• Participate in equipment improvement, modification and reliability projects with maintenance engineers.
• Inspect welds visually and dimensionally to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Read and interpret basic fabrication drawings for accurate weld positioning.
• Maintain fire watch and adhere to plant safety standards.

Required profile

• Technical Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Maintenance, Welding & Fabrication or related field.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of hands‑on welding and fabrication experience in steel or heavy‑industry operations.
• Experience with shutdowns, routine maintenance and shift‑based work is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, technical drawings and SOPs.
