Assistant Manager – Warehouse Operations

About the role

To manage the day‑to‑day operation of the warehouse in Kuwait, overseeing receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while ensuring high customer satisfaction. This 1‑year fixed‑term position is within Al Tayer Insignia, a luxury retail division.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the annual warehouse plan and manage the associated budget, monitoring performance and taking corrective action as needed.
• Develop and enforce work processes and flows to ensure policies are followed, minimizing overtime and cost.
• Review and optimise department workflows and job responsibilities to improve efficiency and timeliness.
• Manage warehouse efficiency, product tracking, route analysis and space optimisation.
• Oversee disposal of expired or obsolete goods to maintain quality standards.
• Optimise and coordinate the full order cycle through to fulfilment.
• Develop processes that enhance the customer experience and monitor quality, quantity, cost and efficiency.
• Ensure timeliness and integrity of all inventory transactions.
• Identify improvement opportunities, assess operational risks and liaise with the HSE committee.
• Guide, motivate and develop sub‑ordinates, conduct performance reviews and foster a positive work environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics.
• 3–5 years of warehousing and distribution experience, preferably in retail, perfumes or cosmetics, with knowledge of the local market.

Required skills

• Warehouse Management System (WMS) proficiency.
• Budget management and financial acumen.
