Building Paint & Hardware Sales Specialist

About the role

The Building Paint & Hardware Sales Specialist works full‑time on‑site in Shuwaikh, representing Al‑Tuhoo’s portfolio of international paint and hardware brands. The specialist greets retail and trade customers, assesses their needs, and proposes the most suitable paint systems, tools, and building‑hardware solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers in the showroom, understand project requirements and recommend appropriate products.
• Prepare accurate quotations, process orders and coordinate delivery with warehouse and logistics teams.
• Maintain product availability, manage stock rotation and keep displays organized.
• Answer phone inquiries, provide professional after‑sales support and build long‑term relationships.
• Stay up‑to‑date on new brands, technical specifications and support promotional activities to meet sales targets.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service and communication abilities.
• Proven consultative sales, upselling and closing skills.
• Professional phone etiquette and clear verbal communication.
• Practical knowledge of paint and building‑hardware products, including technical specifications and application methods.
• Previous experience in hardware, building‑materials or paint retail/wholesale sales is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on‑site, stand for extended periods and handle a busy showroom environment.
• Good numerical aptitude and basic computer proficiency for billing, inventory checks and quotation preparation.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• High‑school diploma or vocational/technical certificate; additional sales or construction‑materials training is a plus.
