English Foundation Program Instructor

About the role

The English Foundation Program Instructor will join the Faculty of the American International University in Kuwait City, delivering intensive academic English instruction to prepare students for undergraduate study. The role emphasizes evidence‑based pedagogy, active learning, and continuous improvement of student outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to 20 contact hours per week in academic English, quantitative reasoning, and university learning skills.
• Design, develop, and deliver curriculum aligned with Student Learning Outcomes.
• Assess student performance using formative and summative methods and use data to inform instruction.
• Contribute to curriculum review, accreditation, and quality‑assurance activities.
• Participate in institutional service, faculty meetings, and professional development.

Required profile

• Master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, TEFL, or a closely related field.
• Minimum three years of English language teaching experience.
• Experience preparing students for academic study in English‑medium environments.
• Native or near‑native English proficiency.
