Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor ensures smooth operation and safety of all company premises and staff accommodations in Kuwait. Reporting to the direct manager, the role leads maintenance activities, oversees expansion projects, and guarantees compliance with local safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise internal and outsourced resources to ensure they are operational and meet operational requirements.
• Oversee maintenance of physical spaces, guaranteeing a safe and clean working environment.
• Review, process, and resolve work order requests promptly.
• Act as liaison with staff, external authorities, and contractors for specialized issues.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Kuwait safety laws, company SHE standards, and assign competent staff to tasks.
• Participate in emergency preparedness planning and assist with environmental permit applications.
• Manage inventory of supplies, reordering as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a valid Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) membership card.
• 5–7 years of facilities maintenance experience; automotive or dealership experience is a strong advantage.
• Experience supervising maintenance staff and managing third‑party contractors.
• Fluent written and verbal English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with facility management software for reporting and scheduling.
