F&B Service Supervisor

About the role

The F&B Service Supervisor ensures smooth operation of the dining area, delivering high‑quality service and a welcoming environment for guests. Reporting to the restaurant manager, the supervisor leads a team of service staff, oversees daily operations, and maintains standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate staff to work as a cohesive team and meet guest needs.
• Inspect grooming, attire and overall appearance of team members, correcting deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setup of supplies, equipment cleaning, and securing the venue.
• Maintain organized storage areas, enforce FIFO practices and cleanliness.
• Conduct scheduled inventories, stock replenishment and requisition of supplies.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety and guest wellbeing.
• Complete work orders for maintenance and repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling and motivating staff.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities and express genuine appreciation.
• Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, quality, safety or cost‑savings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, and navigating stairs or confined spaces.
• Strong attention to detail for inspecting tools, equipment and written information.
