Fire Lieutenant

About the role

The Fire Lieutenant position is based in Kuwait, supporting the WEXMAC mission for V2X. As a crew chief, you will lead a fire department team in emergency response, fire suppression, rescue operations, and fire safety education.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and participate in firefighting, rescue, hazmat, and emergency medical operations as the crew chief.
• Conduct training drills, fire protection inspections, and fire risk management surveys for the assigned crew.
• Prepare and submit reports on fire runs, training, inspections, and maintain fire apparatus and equipment.
• Provide fire safety education to soldiers, the public, and community members, and develop pre‑fire plans.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of full‑time paid firefighter experience.
• Associate degree in Fire Science preferred.
• Current certifications such as Fire Officer I, Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I, and Emergency Medical Responder (EMT preferred).
• Ability to meet NFPA fitness standards, pass drug testing, and undergo background investigation.
