Head of IT – GCC Schools

About the role

As Head of IT (GCC), you will lead delivery of technology services across Cognita schools, ensuring reliable, secure and high‑quality IT support. You will act as the trusted technology partner to local leadership and collaborate with Group technology teams to implement strategy, embed standards and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the local IT Technician team, overseeing service delivery, technology operations, lifecycle planning and local projects.
• Manage budgets, suppliers, risks and performance, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders and central technology partners to align IT services with school strategic goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering high‑quality technology services across multiple sites in a complex, international environment.
• Strong people‑management skills, capable of developing and motivating distributed technical teams.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Broad technical understanding of infrastructure, applications and digital workplace services.
• Commercial acumen to manage budgets, suppliers and vendor relationships.
• Familiarity with ITIL or PMP certifications (advantageous).
