Heart of House Specialist (Steward)

About the role

We are looking for a Heart of House Specialist (Steward) to join our Courtyard hotel in Kuwait City. The role supports multiple hotel departments by ensuring clean linens, spotless dishware and well‑maintained housekeeping areas. You will work closely with kitchen, food‑and‑beverage and laundry teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, transport and store dirty and clean dishware, glassware and linens across hotel areas.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, linen washers and dryers.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is in good working order and report any faults.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene standards while performing cleaning tasks.
• Assist with setting up dining areas and kitchen workstations as needed.

Required profile

• No formal education required; high school diploma or GED is optional.
• No prior experience necessary; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Willingness to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
• Professional appearance and adherence to company policies.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashing machines.
• Use of hand‑wash stations.
• Handling of linen washing and drying equipment.
