HR Business Advisor – University (Kuwait City)

About the role

The HR Business Advisor will act as the primary liaison between the university’s HR department and assigned academic and administrative units. This role ensures smooth communication, supports HR processes, and helps align departmental needs with university-wide HR strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Track and monitor attendance records, maintaining accurate data.
• Manage leave requests in compliance with university policies.
• Lead termination meetings and handle resignations following university procedures.
• Participate in recruiting efforts, sourcing and attracting talent for assigned departments.
• Coordinate onboarding and off‑boarding activities to ensure seamless transitions.
• Collaborate with HR to align strategies with departmental goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with departmental and divisional leaders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in higher education or a similar environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally.
• Strong problem‑solving and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a multicultural setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS/ATS systems, specifically BambooHR.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
