Ice Plant Operator

About the role

The Ice Plant Operator supports the WEXMAC facility in Kuwait, ensuring continuous production and distribution of ice while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Reporting to the Ice Plant Supervisor, the role combines hands‑on equipment operation with inventory and supply chain management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily ice plant operations and monitor equipment performance.
• Conduct training and enforce best safety practices.
• Manage expenditure research, supply ordering, receiving, issue, and inventory control.
• Provide technical assistance to subcontractors and coordinate with government representatives.
• Oversee ordering, tracking, storage, distribution, maintenance, and turn‑in of supplies and equipment.
• Maintain FIFO rotation, shelf‑life policies, and full property accountability.
• Control the Ice Plant Key Control System and maintain SDS documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (must provide copy).
• U.S. citizenship and CAC eligibility.
• 5‑6 years of experience in ice plant operations, warehousing, or inventory control.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a forklift operator’s license.
• ServSafe/Food Handler certification.

Required skills

• Operation of material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, man lift).
• Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and hazardous product storage.
• Inventory control and supply chain management.
