Instrument Engineer

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Instrument Engineer to join its team in Kuwait. The role involves overseeing contractor documentation, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and supporting construction and commissioning activities while maintaining QHSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and verify contractor requisitions, work packages, risk and method statements.
• Witness and confirm compliance with design specifications during construction and commissioning.
• Maintain QHSE standards throughout project execution.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to client counterparts.
• Act as liaison between client and contractor, reporting to the Resident Engineer.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of instrumentation experience in the oil & gas industry.
• 2–5 years of experience in design and construction of onshore plants.
• Familiarity with industry codes and construction practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

Required skills

• DCS experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
