Lead Planning Engineer

About the role

The company is seeking a Lead Planning Engineer to join its EPC team on a project in Kuwait. The role involves developing and maintaining the project schedule across all phases, from engineering through commissioning, and supporting the Project Controls Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare contract baseline and revised schedules in coordination with the project team for engineering, procurement, construction, pre‑commissioning and commissioning phases.
• Assist the Project Controls Manager in preparing reports, registers and implementing planning, scheduling, progress measurement and reporting procedures.
• Review schedule updates, liaise with various project teams, and ensure accurate progress recording and monitoring.
• Identify and communicate any deviations or delays from the approved plan to project management.
• Support the preparation of claims, extensions of time, weekly and monthly reports, and budget documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering or construction.
• Proven experience as a planning engineer on EPC oil and gas construction projects in the Middle East.
