Lead Technical Field Advisor – Mechanical

About the role

The Lead Technical Field Advisor – Mechanical will oversee and execute field activities at customer power‑generation sites. Reporting to the Gas Power One Field Services team, you will ensure installations, maintenance and emergency repairs are performed safely, on schedule and to contractual standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and monitor site resources including labor, tools and technical assistants.
• Perform on‑site installation, preventive maintenance, repair and calibration of mechanical equipment.
• Respond to emergency service requests and troubleshoot problematic assets.
• Provide technical instruction to customer representatives on operation and maintenance procedures.
• Prepare and deliver technical reports, job status updates, material orders and expense documentation.
• Sign off on all changes and ensure compliance with GE safety standards.
• Mentor and train junior team members in field engineering practices.

Required profile

• Completed Level III competencies for Technical Field Advisors.
• Proven experience managing site activities in a high‑voltage or gas‑power environment.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work independently on customer facilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
