Logistics Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to lead day‑to‑day logistics, warehouse and distribution operations. This hands‑on leadership role ensures goods move efficiently from receiving through final delivery while meeting service‑level and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, put‑away, storage, picking, packing and outbound shipping.
• Plan transportation and distribution, coordinate carriers, schedule routes and control freight costs.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation and disciplined stock movement.
• Monitor and report logistics KPIs such as on‑time delivery, order accuracy, freight cost per unit, warehouse utilization and fulfillment lead time.
• Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders and 3PL providers, including performance reviews and rate negotiations.
• Lead, schedule and develop the warehouse and logistics team – hiring, training and performance management.
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase throughput, reduce cost and minimise errors.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Sales and Customer Service to align inbound supply and outbound delivery with demand.
• Control the logistics/warehouse operating budget and handle escalations related to shipping delays, damaged goods or delivery issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of logistics, warehouse or distribution experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory control practices and transportation management.
• Experience managing carriers, 3PLs and freight negotiations.
• Solid understanding of warehouse safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on KPI tracking and continuous improvement.
• Certification in logistics or supply chain (e.g., CLTD, CSCP) is a plus.
