Mechanical Estimation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Estimation Engineer to join our multidisciplinary EPC team serving the oil, gas, refinery and petrochemical sectors. The role involves translating engineering drawings into accurate material take‑offs, bills of quantities and cost estimates for large‑scale projects.

Key responsibilities

• Generate Material Take‑Offs (MTO) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) directly from GA drawings and P&IDs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and support the commercial team during bid preparation.
• Interpret and verify technical and commercial documents, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with design, procurement and construction teams to validate scope and quantities.
• Maintain and update estimation databases using Primavera or equivalent scheduling tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical estimation within oil & gas or petrochemical EPC projects.
• Strong background in construction execution, planning and cost control.
• Ability to read and understand GA drawings and P&IDs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech or B.E.) or equivalent.
• Certification in Primavera or a comparable project scheduling software.

Required skills

• Generation of MTOs and BOQs from engineering drawings.
• Interpretation of GA drawings and P&IDs.
• Primavera (or equivalent) for scheduling and cost planning.
