Middleware Technical Support Engineer

About the role

The Middleware Technical Support Engineer will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of enterprise middleware platforms that connect applications to core banking systems. Working 24x7, you will monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents to keep critical banking services running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support middleware production environments around the clock.
• Troubleshoot application, middleware, and infrastructure issues and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Deploy, validate, and document application releases.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Maintain system health, availability, performance metrics and capacity planning.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, database, and vendor teams.
• Support disaster‑recovery testing and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Automate routine tasks through scripting.

Required profile

• 5+ years of middleware/application support experience in enterprise production environments.
• Hands‑on experience with WebLogic, OpenShift, API Gateways and Unix/Linux.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and resolve production incidents quickly.

Required skills

• OpenShift administration, Kubernetes fundamentals, oc command operations (pods, deployments, services, routes, ConfigMaps, Secrets, logs, events).
• Oracle WebLogic administration, domain/cluster configuration, Node Manager, JVM tuning, thread/heap analysis, connection‑pool optimization, SSL configuration.
• API Gateway management, IBM MQ, JMS messaging.
• Development and integration of REST and SOAP web services.
• Load‑balancing and reverse‑proxy technologies (F5, NGINX), familiarity with IIS and Tomcat.
• Database experience with Oracle, Sybase ASE, Microsoft SQL Server.
• Networking basics (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS) and ITIL‑aligned incident management.
