Patient Care Tech I – 2nd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I (PCT) works on the 2nd Floor Rehab unit, providing direct support to patients and families with basic care, hygiene, and monitoring. As the team member who spends the most time with patients, you will deliver compassionate, high‑quality interaction while collaborating with the broader healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily care activities, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Ensure all aspects of patient care are completed accurately and promptly.
• Provide education and training, including CPR, skills training, crucial conversations, and hospitality in healthcare.
• Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, and other staff to coordinate patient care.
• Anticipate and respond proactively to patient and family needs.

Required profile

• Completion of at least 12 college credit hours, including a passing grade (C or higher) in English Composition.
• Overall GPA of 2.0 or higher (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and a day shift (6:30 am – 7:00 pm).
• Strong organization, verbal and written communication abilities.

Required skills

• CPR certification.
