Patient Care Tech I – 2nd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I supports patients and families on the 2nd Floor Rehab unit by providing basic care, monitoring, and hygiene assistance. As the team member who spends the most time with patients, you will need strong compassion, excellent communication, and the ability to work closely with the broader healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily care activities, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Ensure all aspects of patient care are completed accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment on the rehab floor.
• Participate in ongoing training such as CPR and hospitality in healthcare.

Required profile

• Completion of 12 college credit hours, including English Composition with a grade of C or higher.
• Overall GPA of 2.0 or greater (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Strong organization, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving and patient‑centred engagement.
