Patient Care Tech I – 3rd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the 3rd Floor Rehab unit provides essential bedside support to patients and their families. Working day shifts from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, the PCT ensures basic care, hygiene, and monitoring are delivered with compassion and clear communication.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily care activities, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures.
• Monitor patient status and report observations to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and patient interactions.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other staff to coordinate patient care plans.
• Anticipate and respond proactively to patient and family needs.

Required profile

• Completion of 12 college‑level credit hours, including English Composition with a grade of C or higher.
• Overall GPA of 2.0 or greater (transcripts verified upon application).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and a bi‑weekly schedule of 72 hours.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• CPR certification (training provided if needed).
