Patient Care Tech I – 3rd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I provides essential bedside support to patients and families on the 3rd Floor Rehab unit. Working day shifts from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, the role focuses on basic care, hygiene, monitoring and ensuring a compassionate patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily care activities, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and communicate updates to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other staff to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Provide emotional support and clear information to patients and their families.

Required profile

• Completion of at least 12 college‑level credit hours, including English Composition with a grade of C or higher.
• Overall GPA of 2.0 or greater (verified by transcript).
• Willingness to work flexible hours and a strong sense of organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills, solve problems proactively, and engage patients at appropriate levels.

Required skills

• CPR certification (training provided).
